The JMC Automotive Group of Companies’ history in Tasmania goes back to the early 1920s, not long after the introduction of the motorcar. Jackson’s was then, and still is, a Ford dealer in the north of the State. The organisation has been an integral part of the Launceston community, as a Ford dealer, for more than 70 years.

In 1998, the JMC Group of Companies moved to its current premises on the site of the old Salisbury iron foundry; Launceston is the corporate headquarters for the organisation.
